Wheelchair users in London needed to help test out new bridging device on the London Underground.

GKA is a Market Research company which is currently working on a market research study on behalf of Transport for London.

They are looking to recruit wheelchair users in London to help test out a bridging device being introduced on the London Underground.

The research aims to trial the bridging devices with different wheelchair and mobility aid users at specific stations to assess and understand its impact and inform decisions about its use across the wider network if proven successful.

There will be three phases that each respondent will need to participate in:

  • 30-minute introductory Zoom interview
  • ‘Mystery traveller journey’

You will need to take a journey on the London Underground and will need to use the ramp at each station. You will be required to ask a member of staff for help with this but carry out the agreed journey anonymously (i.e. not mention to staff that you’re doing research)

  • 45-minute post-journey interview

Shortly after your journey (either immediately after your journey in a nearby coffee shop face-to-face or remotely by Zoom after you get home), GLA will ask you to share your experience of using the ramp.

Interviews are taking place w/c 21st November and w/c 28th November

In return you would receive £150 Amazon voucher as a thank you for taking part.

If you’re interested please email training@disabilityrightsuk.org and we will pass on your details to GKA.
