Get Yourself Active aims to increase the number of disabled people playing sport or to access sporting opportunities. We are particularly keen to explore ways to help disabled people on personal budgets.

In a new blog, Get Yourself Active Project Manager Leanne Wightman, explains how health and wellbeing is fast becoming a key consideration for organisations across the voluntary and statutory sector, in health, social care and sport and that we now have a chance to work across sectors and strengthen our message.

In his blog Public services: only a means to living full and active lives Rich Watts, examines the benefits of the use of personal budgets as opposed public services.

Rich is a member of the Get Yourself Active Steering Group. He works on the Integrated Personal Commissioning Programme, which is seeking to join up health and social care for people with complex needs.
