Shelley Simmonds has a very valuable perspective. Not only is she the mother and carer of a disabled son, she is also a Trustee of Disability Rights UK. This led her to apply to the Foundation, knowing the great work that Disability Rights UK does with Disabled people of all ages. Shelley says :
