Last week the Disability Poverty Campaign Group (DPCG) wrote an informative and detailed letter to the Chancellor highlighting the areas most in need of investment for Disabled people.

The DPCG sent this letter on the 29th of February to the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, containing six priority areas that need huge investment, from special educational needs (SEN) education, to the obvious and humane need to raise benefits.

The current economic climate and years of austerity have decimated the Disabled community, the facts are numerous, the reports on poverty undeniable. Today is the Spring Statement and we will watch and listen to see if our words, points, and facts addressed in this letter here, have been absorbed, addressed, and acted upon.

Disabled people are not living, we are existing, just.

This is the time Mr Hunt. No ifs, no buts, no equivocation, no delay, no disdain, just immediate action.

Our letter is attached to this news story and can be read down below.
