News Being Active

Get Yourself Active are pleased that Chester FC Mental Health & Wellbeing which we through our partners, Cheshire Centre for Independent Living helped create has been performing well.

Chester FC Mental Health & Wellbeing

They won a “clean sweep” of silverware locally, including the Cheshire round of the FA People’s Cup. Not only that, their triple was added to by Chester FC Community Trust winning the Best Health Project category in the 2018 National League Trust Community Awards, which celebrate the impact of clubs across the three divisions of the National League in their communities.

We’d like to congratulate Chester FC Mental Health and Wellbeing on their excellent four victories and wish them well for the next football season. Their success is a reminder that when local partners including disabled people’s user lead organisations work together to provide opportunities great results can be achieved on and off the pitch.

For more information about the club, their achievements and the partnership behind it read this blog post.
