In the space of four days we have had two meetings with five champions across England at our offices in Old Street.

These were to welcome them to the campaign and to discuss how they could take the campaign forward in their areas. On Friday 21st October, we met with new champions representing Leeds, the South East (Maidstone and Canterbury) and Manchester. On Tuesday 25th October we met with a further two champions, representing Sheffield and Brighton. We were impressed by all of the volunteers who attended the meetings and thank them for their commitment to I Can Make It, together with the useful feedback they provided to take the campaign forward.

Also we didn’t run into any walls whether metaphorically or literally this week. However we are making a photo wall for our new WordPress site which is where you’ll find the voice of our volunteer champions and information about them. If you would like to add to those voices and are 18-29, have a disability or health condition and wish to help improve the career prospects of yourself and other young disabled people, especially in Liverpool, Leeds, or Newcastle, then please get in touch with us on 0207 250 8193 or via leo.capella@disabilityrightsuk.org.
