We are proud to announce that we have been nominated for an award to recognise our work to improve the equality, diversity and inclusion of our board. Over the past three years we have been working to increase the knowledge and awareness of our Trustees and change our recruitment process resulting in more disabled women and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds joining. We are on a journey that we are excited about.

The Charity Governance Awards are a not-for-profit initiative created to celebrate outstanding governance and trusteeship, allowing large and small charities across the UK to inspire and learn.

Our nomination is under the Board Equity, Diversity and Inclusion category. Read our entry here: Disability Rights UK - The Charity Governance Awards. We share this category with other fantastic organisations - TLC (Talk, Listen, Change) and Warwickshire Vision Support.

Watch the awards evening live on Thursday 27th May, on YouTube: 2021 Charity Governance Awards - Virtual Ceremony - YouTube or through the Charity Governance Awards website The Charity Governance Awards.

Winners will be revealed during the virtual awards ceremony on Thursday 27th May (6.00 - 7.00 pm) where Ndidi Okezie OBE, CEO of UK Youth will deliver the keynote address.

We will update this page after the awards ceremony to let you know the winners.
