Government health and care preparations for a No Deal scenario

The Government and the EU have now agreed the basis upon which the UK will leave the EU in March 2019 but there is a strong possibility that this will not be passed by parliament.

Matt Hancock MP Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has produced an update of measures that the government will implement in the event of a ‘no deal scenario’. relating to the supply of:

  • medicines and vaccines
  • medical devices and clinical consumables
  • blood and other products of human origin
  • non-clinical consumables, goods and services

The update also covers the NHS workforce following Brexit.
