Disability Rights UK is recruiting disabled people to take part in a special project.

This is an important piece of research and engagement that we are performing in conjunction with one of our partner organisations.

We want to recruit individuals to attend an appointment at our offices and sit with an interviewer for (approximately) an hour and discuss a set of communication materials that we are compiling feedback on.

The interviewer will bring everything they need for the interview, so all you have to do is come and talk to him / her.

They’ll show you the materials, ask questions, and you’ll tell them what you think. We will pay each person £40 in vouchers at the end of the hour for their time. This is an important opportunity to contribute to the look and feel of a service from an accessibility and disability equality basis.

We are looking for a cross section of people and with a range of disabilities and long term health conditions - however the amount of interview slots we have is limited- we are looking to confirm your time and date by the 21st June. The interviews will take place over the course a few days starting on the 28th June and ending on the 29th. If selected you will be able to select a time slot (subject to availability) and we will confirm this for you.

To be an interview participant, the person must:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 65
  • Be able to read and write in English
  • Have personal lived experience of disability
  • Agree to be on time, and meet with the interviewer for one hour

If you would like to apply to attend please complete fill out the attached form and email it to Chelsey.french@disabilityrightsuk.org

Unfortunately we are not able pay travel expenses - but each attendee will be rewarded with a £40 voucher upon completion of the interview.
