We want your views on the supporting disabled people to work consultation

DWP Green Paper on disability employment – your opportunity to inform our response to this important consultation

The DWP issued its green paper on disability and employment (Work, health and disability green paper: improving lives) in partnership with the Department of Health at the beginning of November. There are a good deal of questions and we will be responding to these directly with your help. We would welcome detailed responses to each and every question.  However there are three questions of our own we would welcome your response on:

  1. What are the incentives that genuinely help people to move off benefits into appropriate quality employment and what evidence is there of disincentives (if any) in the benefit system?
  2. What examples exist of effective employment support and what is required to scale these up?
  3. What do you consider to be the strong points and what do you believe to be missing (if anything) from the green paper?

In order that we have the time to digest your responses and synthesise the evidence received may we ask for you to reply to us by January 31st. Please put the words “Green paper” into your responses by email.

Please can you reply to Philip.connolly@disabilityrightsuk.org
