There has been a lot of media interest in the pensions auto enrolment scheme and its implications for people employing their own personal assistants

Our deputy CEO, Sue Bott, has appeared on BBC TV news, radio 5 live and radio 4’s Money box programme discussing the implications and pointing out that, under the Care Act guidance, where people use a direct payment to employ their own support staff local authorities should cover the costs of auto enrolment as well as other costs of being an employer.
