News Being Active

Why the launch of the project was not just about having a nice lunch and telling people WE’RE HERE, it’s about our next steps towards getting more people active

Please read my latest blog on the launch of Get Yourself Active and the partnerships we have built so far. The Get Yourself Active team are ready to start the hard work and make change happen.

We have put together a series of short films about the project which include insights from our Get Yourself Active friends. You can also hear about why health, social care and sports should work together for better physical activity and sport opportunities for disabled people.

Please get in contact if you have examples or knowledge of how personal budgets have been used for physical activity or sport by emailing leanne.wightman@disabilityrightsuk.org or tweeting @GetYrselfActive using the hashtag #whatsyourpb
