On Wednesday 1st October 2014 the Equality Advisory & Support Service turns 2 years old

 2nd Birthday Yvonne and Marie

To celebrate the day the service will be holding an event at Stratford upon Avon Waterside (opposite the Encore) where we will be inviting members of the public to write a message in support of Equality and Human Rights on a bunting display. This will be positioned around the EASS stand where we will also be handing out birthday cake and talking to everyone about our free advice service.

The bunting display will accompany the EASS on all future events and as a national helpline this will serve as a permanent message from the people of Stratford and visitors to the town. Not only will the public be invited to contribute but the bunting will also have messages written from local schools.

Since opening its doors in 2012 the EASS has received over 60,000 enquiries from people who believe they have been discriminated against or their human rights interfered with. Our advice has helped the majority of these people resolve their issues and the birthday celebration is our way of highlighting our achievements so far.

The event will be heavily featured on the EASS website and twitter feed during the day where particularly positive messages about discrimination displayed on the bunting will be uploaded to twitter to share with all our followers nationally.
