The Equality Challenge Unit (ECU) would like to work with disabled people on a project funded by the Department of Work and Pensions and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.

The project will investigate how universities can better support disabled people into employment, and reflect on their current practices to ensure they advance disability equality.

It will involve interviews with disabled people and disabled people’s organisations and a nationwide survey of disabled students and disabled graduates.

We are looking for around 10-15 disabled students or graduates, across a range of courses and universities, who have an interest in advancing disability equality to join an advisory group. The group will help shape the scope of the research and provide advice on the methodology and findings.

ECU will work with members of the advisory group by telephone, email, or face-to-face communications. It is estimated that this will require 3-4 hours of people’s time, at a time convenient to the individual.

If you would like to be involved, please email Chris Brill - chris.brill@ecu.ac.uk or phone 0207 438 1021.
